The Technical Security Consultant position is part of the I.T group within the Wealth and Insurance business unit. The team comprises a multifaceted and dedicated mix of I.T professionals across the entire Software Delivery Lifecycle. The role will have a significant impact in designing, developing and improving the security and identity access management elements of our primary customer facing applications.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a talented Security Consultant with experience in IBM Security platforms primarily! The Consultant will be responsible for development and enhancement of our security architecture for customer facing platforms. You will be on the front line of implementing new features and functionalities and optimising the operational process along the way. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high capacity and desire to think strategically to develop new features and resolve problems anywhere on the platforms.

  • Improve existing complex customizations; reduce technical debt and deficiencies
  • Provide strategic mentorship on design and architecture
  • Serve as an informal resource for peers with less experience
  • Aligns teams to collaborate to solve complex problems

Essential Skills & Experience

Must have significant hands on experience of the following software as will be responsible for planning, configuration, deployment and support of:

  • IBM Security Verify Access (previously Access Manager)
  • IBM Security Directory server
  • Python, java, JavaScript or other programming skills
  • Good network knowledge
  • Performance tuning and problem determination
  • Integration of MFA with Microsoft products as well as office 365
  • Security concepts (encryption using keys, SSL, HTTPS)
  • Creating use cases/ rules, Implement mobile access control policies that integrate with mobile device management, application development and risk detection solutions
  • Enable risk-based authentication, token based authentication
